“The situation of Christian refugees in German refugee shelters is still unbearable. As a minority they are discriminated against, beaten up by, and receive death threats from Muslim refugees, and partly by the Muslim staff (securities, interpreters, volunteers) on grounds of their religion.”

As winter descends in Germany, approximately 42,000 refugees are living in tents. Many are Christians and Yazidis who fled their homes because of ISIS, yet even in Europe, they have not escaped the shadow of Islam-inspired persecution.

In a report compiled by Open Doors, Christian refugees in Germany face constant threats and persecution from their Muslim counterparts. In 2016 alone, there have been 743 documented cases of Muslims attacking or persecuting Christians within German refugee camps. Christian activists suspect the actual number of incidents is much higher, since persecuted refugees face many obstacles in reporting attacks (security officers are usually Muslims).

Christian activists are calling for German authorities to stop trying to “integrate” Muslims with Christians, or at least to put equal numbers of Christians and Muslims in the same area and hire more non-Muslim staff members.

“If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you.” — John 15:20

12/11 – Pray for German authorities to make protecting Christians a high priority and to respond with integrity.

12/12 – 340 Protestant churches have closed their doors in the past decade. Pray for the bold witness of Christian refugees in Germany to reignite the passion to live for Christ.

12/13 – Pray that churches in Germany will open their doors to Christian refugees and provide them with safety.

12/14 – Pray for the Muslim aggressors to be prosecuted, and ultimately, to repent and find forgiveness at the Cross.

12/15 – Pray for revival among the German refugee camps.
