Authorities in BOSNIA are calling for the institution of more Sharia Law courts. Muslim leaders are pushing for the country to embrace Islam. These forces promise trouble for the Christian population.
Pray that the country will observe religious tolerance and the justice system will not be overcome by Sharia Law. "Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens...let us hold fast our confession."

In an attempt to silence an IRANIAN Christian activist living in Britain, officials in Iran arrested his Muslim father and tortured him for six days. "It is just showing how far the government will go if we let them," said the son.
Ask God to use his witness to bring his whole family to Christ, despite government threats. Pray also that he is not deterred from the work God has given him to do. "But He will again have compassion on us."

In response to a rumor that a police officer destroyed a Koran, some thousand Muslim immigrants went on a rampage in GREECE, smashing store windows and burning cars.
Pray for peace, and that those who lost property will not suffer want. "He upholds the universe by the word of His power."

A Pakistani pastor in the United Kingdom received several hostile calls from Muslims on his television show. Soon after, a man walked up to his car to ask directions--then suddenly grabbed his hair and tried to beat his head against the steering wheel. Two more men approached as the cross was torn from this pastor’s neck. They swore at him, stole his laptop and Bible, and said "If you go back to the studio, we'll break your legs."

Three pastors in Greece, two of them Iranians, have received letters from Islamic militants threatening them and their families with death if they do not renounce their faith and return to Islam.
Pray for these families as they continue to serve Christ despite the danger. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom."

Muslims in Marseilles, France, plan to construct an immense mosque with financing from Islamic countries.

Unknown attackers smashed the front door of a Christian bookstore in Turkey and destroyed a security camera. Both were repaired, but five days later the front door and window were smashed again.
Pray that Christians will not succumb to fear, or in any way back down from the work God has called them to do. "And you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority."

A man who left a Christian fellowship in Turkey several months ago has published a slanderous letter, containing falsehoods that put the lives of a believer and his family at risk.
Pray for protection. Ask God to bring repentance to the instigator. "And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you."

Turkish Christians have issued a report on the difficulties facing churches who want to construct buildings. Current rules require a larger plot than most small congregations can afford or need. The rules are also vague enough that local officials can arbitrarily deny applications.

One Iraqi immigrant recently knifed another in the Netherlands. The attacker was Muslim; the victim was a former Muslim, a convert to Christianity. Similar assaults have taken place in other Dutch cities.
Pray that God will protect and watch over converts from Islam in the Netherlands, as well as those who reach out to Muslims with the Gospel. "Then the nations that are left all around you shall know that I am the LORD."
